| ScanMail™
eManager™ scans the content of inbound and
outbound email to help prevent the loss of
confidential or proprietary information and trade
secrets and exposure to legal liability. It uses
logic operators and keyword searches for
sophisticated content filtering. Administrators
can create rules to check for specific words such
as “for internal user only” and automatic
notifications can be sent to specified individuals
whenever a breach in confidentiality occurs.
eManager also filters for offensive or
inappropriate content. |

| Spam and other,
non-business related content can clog networks and
reduce productivity. eManager uses a dynamically
updated spam signature list that includes
fingerprints of true spam, stemming non-productive
email with very low false positives. It also
includes spam keywords and customizable rules to
block certain words or phrases. eManager detects
attachments by file name, true file type, file
extension, and attachment content-type. It blocks
non-business related files or oversized
attachments from entering the system, increasing
network performance. |

console gives administrators full access and
configuration control from remote locations.
eManager supports multiple email usage policies,
enabling administrators to define scanning and
notification rules for both inbound and outbound
traffic. The intuitive interface makes it easy for
non-technical users to create and administer
rules. eManager can enforce corporate email usage
policies for different individuals or groups
within an organization in an effective and
flexible manner. |

enables Trend Micro™ Outbreak Prevention Services
to provide a proactive response to new virus
threats, helping ensure that inbound email does
not contain malicious code embedded in SMTP
traffic. eManager helps avert potential threats by
removing suspicious attachment file types before
the virus pattern is available. It also protects
against malware (viruses, worms, Trojans, and
other malicious code) by blocking the attachment
types used by viruses, and it scans all email with
embedded JavaScript or ActiveX code. |

| Customized
notifications can be automatically sent to the
administrator, the recipient, or a third party
whenever a rule is triggered. Notifications
include a date stamp, and describe the rule that
was invoked and its associated action. |
